This is meant to transfer the power of research from researchers to participants. Participants can include local community members, groups, and organisations. They take over the root analysis and try to find fitting solutions for themselves. As facilitators of the process, we accompany analysts to control their aims themselves, get informed of the process and activities of the process and have the power to have an impact on it.

In such research work, members of the communities analyse the gathered data and provide feedback. They not only talk about their problems but also share opinions on possible solutions. This helps the community members, those who in conventional academic research are known only as basic data sources, to be involved in the decision-making process on issues that would affect their lives.
